The High Country Arts & Craft Festival is an ALL JURIED SHOW open to qualified artisans & crafters.  It has brought area and out of state talent to the Moreno Valley since 1982, benefiting the Eagle Nest Chamber of Commerce.  It is a proud tradition and a proven success for the many participants.

 

Located between the Angel Fire and Red River Ski Resorts, Eagle Nest is surrounded by the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and is home to beautiful Eagle Nest Lake.  Information is available through:

Each exhibitor will identify one (1) specific item to be judged.  Please place number (provided in your packet when you check-in at the chamber's office) on the item to be judged so that the JUDGES WILL SEE THE STICKER.  Judging will start at 9:00 p.m. Saturday, July 29th.  Winners will be declared by 4:00 p.m.

 

GUIDELINES

 

Participants are asked to donate one item to benefit the Chamber's Silent Auction.  Donated items to be delivered to the Chamber office during check-in time.  Exhibitor is to set the opening bid for the donated item.

 

ALL ARTS & CRAFTS MUST BE HANDMADE OR HANDCRAFTED BY THE ACCEPTED EXHIBITORS.  Commercially manufactured items or items done by jobbers other than the accepted exhibitor(s) may not be sold or displayed.  WITHOUT EXCEPTION, non compliance to this rule on DAY OF SHOW will lead to action by High Country Arts & Crafts Festival staff.  You will be required to remove all of these items or CLOSURE OF THE ENTIRE BOOTH.  In case of the latter, ALL FEES WILL BE FORFEITED.

 

Participants are responsible for the design and construction of their own booth and fixtures, including extension cords and indoor lamps.  Booths must be totally self-contained and entire area covered with traditional booth canopies.  Participants are responsible for their own clean up.  Participants are responsible for their own property.   Indoor booths are locked at night. 

 

SECURITY IS NOT PROVIDED.  By submitting your application, you RELEASE the Eagle Nest Chamber of Commerce from any liability resulting from loss of any and all property.

 

 

ABSOLUTELY NO OVERNIGHT CAMPING OF ANY SORT IS PERMITTED, (RV’s/TENTS/VEHICLES) under village ordinance and the lease of the festival property.  Please make your own lodging arrangements early.

     SUNDAY, JULY 30th   10:00A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

FRIDAY, JULY 28th   12:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

 

HOSPITALITY HOURS

SATURDAY & SUNDAY   7:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

 

Early set-up is NOT ALLOWED.  Please open and close on time.  Booths are not to be cleared off or closed prior to the closing festival time of 4:00 P.M. on Sunday July 30th. 

 

APPLICATION

DEADLINE:  JULY 15, 2006.  (Allow adequate mail time). Reservations will be on a first paid, first served basis.  If spaces are available, late applications will be accepted for an ADDITIONAL $50.00 fee.

 

A copy of your New Mexico Taxation & Revenue Dept. Certificate MUST BE SUBMITTED with your application.  Contact New Mexico Tax & Revenue Dept at 505-827-0700.

 

Two (2) color photos representative of the work to be sold MUST ACCOMPANY THE APPLICATION before it is considered COMPLETE.  Your confirmation letter will include your booth assignment.  You will be notified of acceptance or rejection within 2 weeks after we receive your application.  All fees (except late fees) will be refunded on any rejected application.

SPECIAL PERMISSION is required for generator use.

 

ALL FEES, PHOTOS, AND TAX ID# MUST ACCOMPANY THE APPLICATION.

 

LATE FEE-$50.00 FOR APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AFTER JULY 15, 2006.

REFUNDS DO NOT APPLY TO THE $50.00 LATE FEE.

 

NO REFUNDS will be made on cancellation requests received after the APPLICATION DEADLINE DATE of  JULY 15, 2006.
